Worship

St Peter’s is a place of worship for a congregation that comes from across Auckland’s North Shore. It is also a place of worship and celebration for the wider community. People choose to come to St Peter’s for baptisms, weddings and funerals.

St Peter’s provides a liturgical form of worship with Anglican identity and flavour but in different styles that vary in formality from choral singing to worship using light, contemporary music and silence. Anglican worship in New Zealand is shaped by “A New Zealand Prayer Book – He Karakia Mihinare o Aotearoa.”

Please contact the Parish Office for any inquiries about such services. We also host special community celebrations and you are welcome to join us at any of these.

Prayer

Prayer is central to the life of any Christian and any church. It is our lifeline to God and without it, we starve spiritually. A desire for prayer is the most reliable spiritual barometer.
